Jalisa and Imran had their first date in July 2024 at a coffee shop. Both of them had low expectations and were pleasantly surprised at how well they got along! It was surprising that their paths hadn't crossed sooner, considering their mutual contacts and the fact that they frequented the same jamatkhana. But as it turns out, the timing was perfect. They met exactly when they were meant to.For their second date a few days later, they went salsa dancing in Robson Square, had pizza and gelato, and walked around downtown by the water. They spent 7 hours together and didn't want the date to end. It was clear they had found something special.In September 2024 they officially became a couple. Within a month they set up a shared calendar and by November they were already talking about going shopping for an engagement ring. It was one of those "when you know, you know" situations. On May 4th, 2025, Imran officially proposed to Jalisa at the tulip festival in Abbotsford.

At first glance, Imran and Jalisa may seem very different. Jalisa is the nerdy dancing queen who likes to have everything planned, while Imran is the animal loving soccer coach who likes to dream big. Jalisa is always too cold, and Imran is always too hot! Together, though, they complement each other well.Jalisa and Imran look forward to growing together as a couple and also supporting each other in their individual pursuits - whether it be through work, dancing, sports, volunteering, or spending time with family and friends, they sure know how to keep themselves busy (hence the shared calendar)! They like to unwind by watching Netflix, having chocolate gelato, playing music, cooking meals together, and making each other laugh.Imran and Jalisa hope to learn new skills together, travel the world, and make many memories along the way. They are excited to build a life and future together, one day at a time.
